The GOT is back! At San Diego Comic-Con, CM Punk is Scheduled to Return in AEW: Heroes & Villains

Updated: Jul 19

CM Punk, an AEW superstar who had to take a break after suffering an injury only days after winning the world championship, will be at San Diego Comic-Con later this month. Punk will participate in the AEW: Heroes & Villains panel at San Diego Comic-Con in the next month, according to a press release from Warner Brothers Discovery that confirmed the news. However, the event's precise date has not yet been revealed. TBS Champion Jade Cargill, Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, and Bryan Danielson will also be on the panel. From July 21 to July 24, San Diego Comic-Con will take place.

Even though Punk's return to the rink seems far off, his first appearance is undoubtedly wonderful news for the supporters.

Punk defeated Adam Page at Double or Nothing in Las Vegas earlier this month to win his first world championship since 2013. An emotional Punk revealed his ailment and that he will be having surgery after the title triumph.

"I'm hurt and require surgery, which is terrible news. I adore performing for you guys, and I wanted to go on one hell of a run, but a few things are broken, the largest one being my heart," he stated.

Punk has retained his title throughout the break, and Jon Moxley was named the interim AEW World Champion. Punk made a comeback to professional wrestling with his debut in AEW last year after leaving WWE in 2014.

On Twitter, CM Punk's admirers and followers also shared their support for the wrestler.

Just a reminder that CM Punk is the G.O.A.T., one user commented on social media.

Punk was shown in a video that another user posted to Twitter with the description, "I can bet this was the best thing that ever happened in Wrestling history. 11 years have passed since the iconic.

CM Punk won the World Heavyweight Championship while working for WWE in 2008 after defeating Edge in a Money in the Bank match.

In October of the same year, Punk and Kofi Kingston beat Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr. to capture the Tag-Team Championships.
