Ranbir Kapoor claims to have seen Darlings, starring Alia Bhatt. It is "Bahut Kamaal ki film hai."

While promoting his most recent film, Shamshera, Ranbir Kapoor lauded Alia Bhatt's Darlings. The August 5 Netflix movie is Alia's first production as a producer.

Shamshera, starring Ranbir Kapoor, was out on Friday. Along with co-stars Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, the actor has been busy promoting the action-drama. When questioned about his wife Alia Bhatt's upcoming movie, Darlings, in a recent media interview, Ranbir described it as "wonderful." Alia, who revealed in June that she and Ranbir were expecting a child, will appear in the Netflix movie on August 5. Brahmastra, which debuts on September 9, will mark the first time Ranbir and Alia Bhatt are seen together on camera. The duo will first appear on screen in their respective ventures before that. Alia will star in Darlings, the first movie she will produce, while Ranbir recently released Shamshera, his first movie in four years. Darlings, a dark comedy directed by Jasmeet K. Reen, follows the lives of a mother-daughter team, Shefali Shah and Alia, as they struggle against all difficulties to find their place in Mumbai.

Ranbir was questioned about if he has watched the Darlings teaser during a recent Shamshera promotional event. According to a Pinkvilla post, Ranbir not only applauded the movie but also Alia's performance. "The movie Maine Darlings is out now. Film ki bohot kamaal hai. Usi level pe, usi makaam pe hai, jaise aap sab anticipate karte ho Alia Bhatt ki filmein kaisi hoti hai. (I have seen Darlings. It is a fantastic movie. Darlings is at that level, as everyone anticipates Alia's movies to be, Ranbir added.

Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and Alia's Eternal Sunshine Productions are supporting the movie Darlings. For Red Chillies, Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma produce, and Alia produces Eternal Sunshine. Darlings also stars Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in addition to Alia and Shefali. The lyrics were written by Gulzar, and Vishal Bhardwaj created the music. A story of a frog and a scorpion was told by Alia in the Darlings teaser, which debuted earlier in July, to show how a predator would never compromise their true nature.
