Bring home the gold, Priyanka Chopra penned.

On Thursday, Priyanka Chopra threw a pre-Oscars celebration honoring South Asian talent. At the event, which was co-hosted by Mindy Kaling, Kumail Nanjiani, Anjula Acharia, Bela Bajaria, Maneesh K Goyal, and Shruti Ganguly, Priyanka looked lovely in a black saree. Riz Ahmed, whose movie Flee is up for Best Documentary, International Feature, and Animated Feature, was among those recognized. Additionally, his live-action short The Long Goodbye received an Oscar nomination. The documentary Summer of Soul by Joseph Patel is also up for an award. The Indian documentary Writing With Fire, which stars Anurima Bhargava, Sushmit Ghosh, and Rintu Thomas, won a nomination. Suroosh Alvi (Flee), Pawo Choyning Dorji, and others from South Asia were nominated for Oscars this year.

The 2022 Oscars will take place on March 27. Priyanka posted images of the occasion and wrote: "What a privilege it was to cohost a pre-Oscars party honoring the 10 South Asian contenders for this year's Oscars as well as their friends, family, and coworkers who toil ceaselessly behind the scenes to make this all possible. Last night made me feel everything, and I was very proud of our community's progress. The entertainment industry has a promising future."

In her message, she added: "A special thank you to the cohosts who joined together to make this historic evening possible as well as to Anjula Acharia and Maneesh Goyal for coming up with the idea. I hope the nominees have the best of luck on Sunday! bring the gold home."

Priyanka Chopra has participated in the Oscars in a variety of ways. The actress and her husband Nick Jonas started by announcing the list of nominees for the Academy Awards from the previous year.

The Quantico star also went to the event. Priyanka Chopra participated in the ceremony as a presenter back in 2017. She appeared wearing a silver Ralph & Russo outfit. When she arrived at the 2016 Oscars wearing a lace Zuhair Murad gown—which, incidentally, was the fifth most-searched Oscar dress—Priyanka Chopra ignited the red carpet.

Priyanka Chopra's upcoming project, Citadel, will be a multi-series featuring productions from Mexico, Italy, and India. Richard Madden will also act in it, and the Russo Brothers will be directing it. Following the announcement of the Sangeet Project, a dance reality program with a sangeet theme that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas would host, Citadel is her second project with Amazon Prime Video.

Last year, Priyanka Chopra was seen in Netflix's The White Tiger, based on Aravind Adiga's Booker program prize-winning novel. Her final appearance was in Matrix 4.
