Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss jumped off a 46-story building 19 times for a scene in The Matrix

What was the purpose of Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss' daring stunt? All they wanted was for the setting to appear natural.

Need to jump off a 46-story building in New Delhi for an action scene? Not to worry. Carrie-Anne Moss and Keanu Reeves have it down. The 57-year-old actor revealed that he and his co-star Carrie-Anne Moss, 54, had to jump off a 46-story building at least 19 times (yes, you read that right) to make a particular scene from the movie look realistic while promoting his upcoming movie The Matrix Resurrections on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. John Wick's flicks are evidence that Keanu Reeves, like Tom Cruise, is recognized for pulling off most of his feats by himself. Keanu Reeves, who plays Neo again in The Matrix Resurrections, was questioned on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert about the "craziest thing" he had to do. while the fourth installment of the Matrix franchise was being filmed.

"Leap from a building. I'll estimate there are about 46 stories "The actor said and continued by elaborating on the reasons why he, Carrie-Anne Moss, and the producers decided against using VFX in post-production: "Because Lana Wachowski directed "The Matrix," you need natural light to make it look authentic. There are cables, after all. I grabbed Carrie-hand Anne's and we leaped from the building together."

When asked how many times he and Carrie-Anne Moss leaped off the building, Keanu Reeves replied, "We did it around 19, 20 times because we wanted to do it in the perfect light in the morning."

The Matrix: Resurrections is the fourth movie in the franchise and the first one since The Matrix Revolutions in 2003. The movie brings back its star cast Carrie-Anne Moss, Keanu Reeves, and filmmaker Lana Wachowski are all present. In The Matrix Resurrections, Priyanka Chopra plays the role of Sati.

Returning to the amazing stunt that Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss pulled off, the actor admitted that while he and his co-star mentally prepared for it, when they did it for the first time, his "heart rate was a little increased." Added him: "However, after the initial experience, the dread is forgotten. You need to cope with it, take it in, and simply be present and act. That's exactly what we did."

actor Keanu Reeves, who "Never" bungee-jumped, said of his 46-story building jump on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert: "It was great. Can you picture simply jumping off a structure that has cables attached?"
