Joao Felix was offered to Atletico Madrid, but they turned it down, according to a report.

Manchester United's start to the new season has been dismal. The team of Erik ten Hag has played two Premier League games without earning a single point. And it now seems that the team has also taken a significant hit during the transfer window. Manchester United's hopes of acquiring striker Joao Felix were severely dented when reports surfaced that La Liga club Atletico Madrid had turned down the proposals. The Spanish team also made a subtle jab at Manchester United and reaffirmed their position.

On Thursday, a picture of Felix was tweeted to the official Atletico Madrid Twitter account, with the message "Priceless."

According to a Marca report, Atletico Madrid turned down Manchester United's late-July offer of €135 million for Felix. According to the allegation, Atletico Madrid instructed the Red Devils to disregard Felix's transfer talks. Furthermore, Atletico Madrid pointed them toward Felix's contract's €350 million buy-out provision.

Just one day after the two clubs' match, on July 31, Manchester United reportedly put Felix's name on the table. Felix had even scored the game-winning goal.

Before the 2019–20 season, Felix transferred from Benfica to Atletico Madrid. Felix cost Atletico Madrid €127 million to sign, making him the most expensive football player in the club's history.

After 112 games and 30 goals for the Rojiblancos, the Portuguese striker has a total of 30 goals. Felix had three assists in the opening La Liga matchup against Getafe to get the current campaign off to a strong start. The scoreboard showed that Atletico Madrid had a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Felix has eight goals and four assists for Atletico Madrid in La Liga last year. Additionally, the club's leadership is currently being handled by the 22-year-old Portuguese.

Along with Felix, Atletico Madrid has stated that they want to keep forwards Matheus Cunha and Alvaro Morata. Cunha, a Brazilian striker, reportedly has a release clause worth more than €100 million. On the other hand, Morata is currently valued at €70 million on the open market.

Manchester United has been monitoring both players, but Atletico Madrid has been adamant about keeping their attacking tandem.
