The latest news | Concerned parents over new sex education curriculum

In a California school district, new textbooks inform students that there are nine genders and more than ten sexual orientations.

According to a Fox News report on Wednesday, a school district in southern California is teaching students that there are over 10 different sexual orientations and nine different genders. Parents who claim that such lessons "sexualize our kids and normalize sexual activity" at a young age have expressed outrage.

New textbooks called "Comprehensive Health Skills for High School" have been introduced by the Newport-Mesa school district in Orange County, and they suggest that there are nine different gender identities: agender, androgynous, bigender, cisgender, gender-nonconforming, gender fluid, gender questioning, nonbinary, and transgender.

Along with that, it distinguishes between more than ten different sexual and "romantic" orientations, including sexuality, sociosexuality, demisexuality, gynesexuality, polyamory, and asexuality, as well as heteroromantic, gone romanticgingerbread, homoromantic, androromantic, and androromantic.

'The gingerbreadprogram guy' was reportedly utilizedprogramprogramnormalizing by the school system to teach middle and high school students about gender in sex education lessons. The Newport-Mesa Unified School District purchased the "Teen Talk" sex education programme, which is also taught to thousands of pupils in California, and included the "Genderbread Identity" guy in it.

The Teen Talk course covers gender and sexuality-related subjects and includes a video lesson on "what it's like to be trans in high school," in which two teenagers talk about transitioning. The textbooks for the program also show examples of student profiles with names, sexual orientations, and gender identities while encouraging students to make their own.

According to Alicia Beget, a mother in the district who spoke to Fox News, many parents have expressed indignation about the new curricula, contending that schools are now "sexualizing our kids and program normalizing sexual activity" at a young age.

Beget stated, "Those at the very top are well aware of what they're doing. This is part of a wider goal."

In response to a request for comment from Fox News, the school district stated that it is simply adhering to the "state-adopted criteria for health education, which includes sexual health" and employing a state-approved health curriculum.

They continued by saying that parents have the option of letting their kids opt out of comprehensive sex education and that they have the power to examine the material covered in the district's schools.

The school system stated, "We acknowledge that there are other points of view and beliefs and we adhere to California State Standards for curriculum, while also respecting parent choice.
