Can Anyone Tell When the Indian Flag at the RSS Headquarters Was Raised? Akhilesh Criticizes the BJP

On Kranti Diwas, August 9, SP leader Akhilesh Yadav will launch a "Har Ghar Fehre Tiranga" campaign in the Uttar Pradesh village of Jhauwa.

Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, criticized the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Thursday on the raising of the Tricolor and patriotism. What could be expected from those who had never raised the Indian flag, the former chief minister questioned.

"There is an attempt from the BJP to present itself as the only nationalist party while those who don't vote for them are labeled anti-national," said Akhilesh, who visited Azam Khan at Medanta Hospital in Lucknow. In India, hoisting flags has been a tradition for decades. You will see our Tiranga campaign's distinction from theirs on August 9th.

On Kranti Diwas, August 9, Akhilesh will launch a "Har Ghar Fehre Tiranga" campaign in the Uttar Pradesh village of Jhauwa. Every villager will receive a national flag from the SP to fly from August 9 to August 15 at their residences.

On that day, the SP chief will also meet with the local families of liberation fighters and present a khadi-made Tricolor to each household in Jhauwa village.

"National pride day is August 9, 1942. The sole reason the nation gained independence on this day was due to the "Angrezo Bharat Chodo" campaign's cry. The liberation fighters' memorial day is also a time when people commit to creating the India of their aspirations. He had stated this when announcing the details of the campaign. "Samajwadi Party will collaborate in raising the Tricolour from home to house from August 9 to 15 and will also take a promise to safeguard democracy and socialism," he had said.
