The eagerly anticipated Season 9 Player Auction for the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) will take place in Mumbai on August 5 and 6, 2022. In preparation for the next season 9, all 12 teams are now preparing their player auction strategies.

Sandip Tarkas, CEO of Bengal Warriors, stated before the player auctions that "every auction requires a lot of planning, and this time is no different. The auctions are something we are anticipating. We are adjusting our strategy in the weeks before the auctions because, like any team, we want to put together a powerful combination through the auctions. We are eager to identify some fresh faces that will ignite this auction and excite the audience just enough!

Bengaluru Bulls CEO Kirthi Muralikrishnan remarked in the meantime, "The player auctions are the most crucial period for any team since they offer the only opportunity to assemble the best roster for the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League. We've got a few players in mind who we'd want to sign, and we think we can put together a strong team for the upcoming season."

"It's going to be fascinating player auctions," said Durganath Wagle, director of the Dabang Delhi K.C. "For the first time, young players from the Khelo India University Games 2021 will be included in the auction pool as well. We are aiming to sign more young players this season who we hope will be our future because the VIVO Pro Kabaddi League has always given up-and-coming athletes a platform to succeed.

Live coverage of the PKL Player Auction will begin at 6:30 PM on August 5 on Star Sports Network and Disney+ Hotstar.
