Janhvi Kapoor and actor Varun Dhawan have started filming scenes for their next movie Bawaal. On their Instagram accounts, the two have been posting images and videos from the international shoot sites. Varun Dhawan's most costly film to date is Bawaal. The movie, which is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is supported by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. April saw its release in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The movie is expected to premiere on April 7, 2023.

According to a source, "An action scene as planned required numerous items, including 45 plus hedgehogs along with countless numbers of grenades, knives, and variety of explosives for an essential action sequence that will be shot starting tomorrow. There are around 2.5 crore in expenses for the 10 days of shooting. This is Varun's most costly movie to date.

Along with India, Bawaal was also partially filmed in Paris, Berlin, Poland, Amsterdam, Krakow, and Warsaw. German stuntmen and action directors were brought in for the movie. There are more than 700 workers on the film team.

Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan work together for the first time on the film Bawaal. The daughter of Sridevi and movie producer Boney Kapoor is Janhvi. She is set to release a number of other projects in addition to Bawaal. Her father, Boney Kapoor, will support her in her upcoming film, Mili. Actors Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa will also appear in the movie. Additionally, Janhvi is working on Good Luck Jerry with Sidharth Sengupta and Mr. and Mrs. Mahi with actor Rajkummar Rao.
